M&A Films :: David and Teresa

Hellooo!

I have recently had the pleasure of working with some good friends of mine to create a little graphic for one of their wedding videos they shot this summer! Mike and Ali are some of the most in love people I know who also happen to be insanely creative and talented, so for them to capture the love of other couples on their wedding day is kind of perfect for them!

This specific video was for one of Mike's cousins, David, who got married to his lovely bride, Teresa, in the woods near Lake Michigan surrounded by trees, flowers, and their loved ones.

 You can view the full video as well as others done by M&A Films here.

Birth Announcement :: Phoebe Jo

I just loved working on this adorable little birth announcement for the lovely Henricks family. Phoebe is the third babe of Derek and Kara and she couldn't be any more darling!

If you have a loved one on the way or have recently welcomed one into the world I would love to customize this announcement for your little one! Or I would be happy to create a custom announcement. Feel free to get in touch!

Starry Night Congrats and Some Other Misc Thoughts

Most of the work that I've done in the past couple of years have been custom pieces for individuals. The idea is that I can collaborate with clients to come up with a piece entirely from scratch and then I can, in turn, customize any of those pieces to the preferences of future clients.

However, I also want to design greeting cards and other sorts of stationery pieces that can be sold as is. This is the first greeting card (outside of my personal Christmas cards that I've designed the past few years) that I've designed with the intention to print in bulk and put up for sale.

I have had the intention to open an online shop for quite some time now. However, to be 100% honest, it's a pretty scary idea to invest time and money in production with the possibility of never making a sale. Which is why I have not done many pieces outside of the work I've done on commission. This way, when I list an item that I have already done on commission, I don't have to worry about any losses because I've been compensated once and am listing the item in hopes to be able to create a similar but different piece for another individual and be compensated again for the time I've put into customizing that piece.

Anyway, maybe this post is a little too insightful into my business model but I don't have any secrets! I just wanted to explain why I have yet to open an online shop as planned. However, I finally feel confident in the amount of pieces that I have acquired, and plan to list these online very very soon.

So, stay tuned!

Also, if you have ever seen anything on my blog or portfolio that you love, contact me and I would love to customize that piece for you! If you have ideas for a completely custom invite, announcement, etc., I would love to work with you to create something from scratch!
