Snowshoeing, Hot Springs, and The Desolation of Smaug.

Its been almost 2 months since my last post, oops!

All is well. However, now that we're settled in, I have more time to think about how much I miss our loved ones back in Illinois and it makes me homesick! Mostly because some of our very best friends had their baby recently (little baby Judah, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH), my baby sister just got engaged, and this will be my first Christmas away from my family. All of it breaks my heart just a little bit. But our marriage is closer than ever and we are given opportunities here that are not possible in the midwestern plains.

Just like last week, we celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary (!!!) in the mountains in a little cabin just to ourselves. It was so nice to get away, commune with nature, and just enjoy time with one another! We mostly cozied up by the fire, ate pizza, and missed our cats. But we also went snowshoeing, took a little dip in the hot springs, ate at Juicy Lucy's, and saw the second Hobbit movie.

Did I mention that we've been married for 4 years? I really can't believe where life has brought us in that time and I am just so thankful for this man who has brought so much love and happiness into my life. Every day I still miss him when we are a part and he still makes me laugh so much when we are together. I have no doubt that this will be our way of life for the rest of time.

And of course, just like every adventure we go on, I wish I would have taken more pictures! But here are some from our little snowshoeing trek at Sunlight Mountain in Glenwood Springs.

1 // Trekking through Winter Wonderland.
2 // Christmas trees for days.
3 // Him.
4 // Her.
5 // Frozen mustache.
6 // Winter berries.
7 // Trees and moon.
8 // UNREAL SUNSET.
9 // Snow bunny. Hahaha.

Jeremy fell in the snow. Twice.

And here's us on our wedding day!

And… here's this.
